Today is Black Friday, November 26, 2010, one of the busiest shopping days of the whole year. I would like to take time to wish everyone Happy Holidays this season and blessings to all friends and family.
Also I would like to mention that my father Arthur Melvin Wartenbe passed away Sunday November 14, 2010 and may he at last be in peace and with our Lord God.
After a year and a half of battling cancer, dad became too tired and weary to continue fighting the earthly monster. I have been here at his house trying to keep him comfortable during his time of confusion and extreme illness. It has been a very strange journey to say the least.
Now that dad and mom are both at their final resting place, my wife and I are beginning a new season in our lives. A fresh start you might call it. Since we have been here at my dads home caring for him, many sacrifices had to be made and a great loss of income was one of many. Now that we are changing gears and on our own again, we must find our way back into mainstream America and continue the pursuit of happiness and the American dream of owning your own place in this great nation.
I am hopeful that someday I can be a good father and husband despite my inadequacies and shortcomings. I have faith that God is going to continue to lead me in the direction I should be going.
It is my hopes in this life that everyone I might meet along my journey would see my Savoir Jesus in me.
In closing, I would like to say, Peace and Happiness to all this year and the new year rapidly approaching. God Bless
